Even if you get a tuition scholarship, you still cannot afford the living expenses. If I just described you, then you are watching the best video that can change your life because, in this video, I'm going to take you step by step on how to search and apply for scholarships that are available in Canada.

Introduction

If it's your first time here, my name is Eugene, and I just want to see you succeed. So don't wait to hit the like button, subscribe, share this video, and follow me.

Getting Started

Let's get into my laptop screen. The first thing you want to do is come over to your browser and write on your browser. You are going to go to cic.gc.ca. You can see right here that when you click on that, it's going to take you to this interface where you have the Government of Canada. You want to select your language. For this case, I'm going to click on English. If you speak French, then you want to click on French.

Navigating the Website

We are going to go into the English part of it. Right here, we are under the Immigration and Citizenship website. If you come down on this website, you can see a lot of buttons for my application, visa, to immigrate, study, citizenship, and work. There is important information you can get from this website, but the reason why we are here is to learn how to search for scholarships.

Finding the Scholarships

What you want to do is to come over to the menu. If you click on the menu, you're going to find some important headings right here. What you want to click on is Money and Finance. When you click on Money and Finance, you can come to the right-hand side. Now, you are going to select Education Funding. Just look for Education Funding—yeah, we can find it right here—so you're going to click on Education Funding. It's going to take you right to this page. You can see right here: education funding, scholarships, paying for your education, budgeting, and student debt.

Exploring Scholarship Options

Right here, you can find information that pertains to scholarships and education funding and other forms of benefits for students. What you have to do right on this page is to come down and click on Scholarships. Right here, you can find undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral scholarships, awards, and bursaries. We're going to click on Scholarships. This is going to take us to this new scholarship page where you can find a lot of scholarships that you are eligible to apply to.

Right here, you can see Canada Graduate Scholarships—this is for Masters. You can also see Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships. There are scholarships for Natural Sciences and Engineering undergraduate awards—this is quite interesting. And then we also have the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship. We have another Natural and Engineering Scholarship for a postgraduate award. Here, we can also see Natural Sciences and Engineering Postdoctoral Award. There's also a scholarship right here for Social Sciences and Humanities. There's a scholarship for everyone.

Additional Search Techniques

Follow me through because I still have a better way to search for these scholarships. I'm going to show you right before this video ends. Depending on where you're watching from or your citizenship, there's another way you can go in and get more scholarships.

You can see right here we have International Scholarships for Canadians—these are scholarships that are just for Canadians. And then right here, we also have International Scholarships for Non-Canadians. If you're an international student from any other country, this applies to you. You can also get into this page to find out more scholarships, which we are going to do right now.

Searching for Scholarships by Country

But before that, you can also see we have International Business Scholarships. We have International Development Graduate Student Awards, so you just have to go into these links and search for a scholarship for yourself.

Right now, we are going to go into the International Scholarships for Non-Canadians because I believe most of my audience are non-Canadians. Right on this page, you can find different scholarships that you can apply to. You can go through the page and see the different scholarships, look at the eligibility, and apply to these scholarships—a lot of them.

Highlighting a Key Scholarship

One of these scholarships that interests me is the Study in Canada Scholarships. You can see this: the Study in Canada Scholarship provides students from post-secondary institutions located in selected countries, territories in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research in Canada post-secondary institutions at the college, undergraduate, or graduate levels.

How to Search by Citizenship

So we are going to go into these scholarships, but first, let me teach you how to search for scholarships depending on your country. What you are going to do still on this page, you just have to come over to Search for Scholarships.

Before I show you this, make sure to hit the like button if you've gotten any value so far, and make sure to share this video with your friends and family. Also, let me know where you're watching from—what country you're watching from—in the comments section.

Personalized Scholarship Search

Right now, we're going to go into Search for Scholarships, and right on this page, you will be able to search for scholarships depending on your citizenship and your country. This is very interesting.

You can see: Select Your Country or Citizenship. So I'm going to click on Non-Canadian, and then you can come down and see Select Your Profile. If you're a student, faculty, researcher, or academic institution, I'm going to click on Student. Then you can see right here: Select Your Country or Citizenship. So I'm just going to select Nigeria right here. After that, once you've selected your country, then you can click on View Scholarships.

Reviewing Eligible Scholarships

This is going to show you the scholarships that you are eligible to apply to, depending on your country. You can see right here we have a list of over 10 scholarships and the founder of these scholarships to the right. You can see the scholarships right here that I can click into to learn more about, learn how to apply, and submit my application to these scholarships. I really encourage you to follow through with these steps and search for scholarships. Try to apply to multiple scholarships, and definitely, one of these scholarships is going to come your way.

Revisiting the Study in Canada Scholarship

So guys, let's go back, and let me show you the scholarship I talked about. If you come back to the page we were on before we went to Search for Scholarships, you can see the Study in Canada Scholarships right here.

What I want to do is click on the link at the top. It takes me to the page where you can learn more about this scholarship, but unfortunately, this scholarship is currently closed for the 2023-2024 academic year. This is just for you to be aware of the scholarship and make sure to apply to it when it is open again.

Key Details and Application Process

You can see right here the eligibility countries that are eligible, and a lot of African countries are part of this. You want to read more about the scholarship, those who are not eligible, and then the scholarship value right here—you can see what you are going to get if you win this scholarship. If you come down, you can also see how to apply, the application process, which you want to go through, and also look at the supporting documents to know what documents you need to submit for the application.

Final Tips

This is practically what you do for scholarships: search for them and take note of everything. You can copy the link to make sure you keep track of it. You can also come to the Key Dates right here to see the application period. You can see right here: the deadline for Canadian institutions to submit online applications on behalf of students is 21st March 2023. So that means this scholarship will be open soon for the next academic year, so it is good for you to track the scholarship.

Stay Informed

What you can also do is come over to the Contact Us section. There, you can see the email address. You can send an email to this address requesting information on when this scholarship will be open for the next academic year and everything you need to know. They will reply to you, and you can just keep track of it and prepare all the necessary documents.

Conclusion

So guys, I hope this video was helpful. If it was, let me know in the comments section. I just want to see you succeed while pursuing your dreams.
